The GE³LS database contains information on projects in existence since 2005 that were funded by Genome Canada or others. Genome Canada is endeavoring to make this database as comprehensive as possible, and projects are being added on a regular basis.

Simple search

To perform a simple search, type one or more keywords into the textbox. For example 'stem cell'.

Tips

• Start your search with fewer keywords. To narrow down your search, add more keywords to your search.
• Adding quotation marks to keyword searches will yield results using exact terms.

The search engine will return research projects that correspond with your keywords. Please note that the "AND" operator is the default conjunction operator, which allows users to narrow down searches by using a combination of keywords.

Advanced Search

To perform an advanced search, select from the search fields available:

• Title of project
• Pre-selected keywords grouped by subject
• Investigator
• Co-investigator
• Region
• Year of project

The search engine will return research projects that correspond with your search criteria. Please note that the "AND" operator is the default conjunction operator, which allows users to narrow down searches by selecting a combination of search fields.

To view all the projects in the database, simply click on the search button while leaving the search fields unselected.
